A Preschool through 8th Grade Catholic Elementary School
Student Life
Service to Others
Our Lady of Perpetual Help students have a wide variety of opportunities to actively practice their faith throughout the year, during and after school.
School Service
Junior High Students in 7th and 8th grade have occasional opportunities to assist teachers with school events. From helpers for Stock Santa's Sleigh to running the carnival booths at Fun Fair, they offer their help at these festive events.
Outreach Service
Students participate in a Thanksgiving Food Drive, Christmas mitten collection and Lenten peanut butter and jelly drive for our sharing parishes. We also have a Coin Drive which all proceeds benefit OLPH Parish in Puerto Rico. Our Kindergarten class has a Lemonade Stand which raises money for Sr. Paulanne’s Needy Family Fund.
Confirmation Service
Eighth Grade students preparing for the Sacrament of Confirmation are obligated to explore service opportunities in our parish and outside our community. Additionally, each student visits the Blessed Sacrament Youth Center and is required to write a reflection about their experiences.
Students of Service (SOS) gives students the opportunity to live “acts of kindness” – the Corporal Works of Mercy. The objective is to have children know firsthand the challenges and rewards of caring for those in need. The Works of Mercy are important because they connect love of neighbor with the love of God. Kindergarten through 7th grade has a specific theme to explore and grade level parent coordinators volunteer to organize optional after-school service opportunities. Eighth grade students may volunteer in a leadership role as part of their year-long service project.
