WOW! It's in the BOOK! Still haven't caught my breath...& I didn't even play. The Warriors ranks were sorely depleted, only able to field 11 players, 5 of which were 5th or 6th graders. Every one knows it was a rival game...a clash of two Parish powerhouses. Well, in case you haven't heard, read, seen or checked your Twitter account, The Warriors conquered QAS...in OT! Mickey McCarthy ripped the winning goal in a "Sudden Death" OT (3 minutes 1st goal wins). As an aside Mickey now goes by "Money" or M2 (Money Mickey). One of the best exhibitions of team work that I have ever seen. The "D" and "O" schemes that the team ran were never practiced...only reviewed in a Chalk Talk and 15 minutes before the game. This is a Lacrosse Team!

SPOTLIGHT - ESPN SPECIAL SEGMENT. While a breath taking team event there were two most inspiring performances. Give it up for Joe Kohl!!! Joe played wire to wire...48 minutes straight out at middie (playing the entire length of the field). When I asked him on more than one occassion if he wanted to take a breather he looked me like I had three eyes (maybe 4). Joe had a critical "strip" with less than 2 minutes left that helped lead to out tying goal. Give it up for Jack Burke (aka MPJ...Multi-Purpose Jack). Yes MPJ was most productive, scoring 3 goals and keeping The Warriors in the game. What you probably don't know is he torqued his back and played through pain for the entire game. He was moved from Mid to "D" to Attack and asked multiple times if he just wanted to sit out.  Emphatically...MPJ responds..."I want to play"... and he sure 14rwfrsldid!

SHOUT OUT. Alissa King for hydration. Even though Aidan didn't play, Alissa delivered drinks.
